ECLIPSE LAGOON BRICKS

The Eclipse Lagoon has been a landmark in the community since the 1920s. Over the years, the lagoon has remained a popular spot for residents and visitors to gather. In the summer, many stroll along the lagoon on the way to the Rock River Recreation Path or Sinnissippi Park rose garden. In the winter, the lagoon often serves as an outdoor skating rink.
The charming brick patio on the north side of the Eclipse Lagoon is a wonderful way to memorialize a loved one, celebrate an anniversary, honor your family name, or share a special memory. Whatever the reason, purchasing an engraved brick is an easy way to support the Rockford Park District.
Bricks are ordered two times per year. The following are the cut-off dates for orders and the approximate date of installation:
Order by May 1 > Installed by July 1
Order by October 1 > Installed by December 1 (weather permitting)
The dates above allow enough time for engraving, shipping, and installation of bricks. The engraving company will occasionally be extremely busy and additional time will have to be allowed for engraving and delivery. Every effort will be made to install the bricks by the dates listed above.
A confirmation letter is mailed to you after your order is received. This allows you to check your brick's spelling and layout before it is engraved. If a telephone call or email is not received explaining the necessary corrections, it will be assumed that the layout on the confirmation letter is correct. Your telephone call or email stating that the layout is acceptable is always welcome, but not required.
After the bricks are installed, a confirmation will be sent to the donor as official notification of installation.
